The ESL I Emergency Strobe Light Xenon bulb USCG approved strobe light. Operates 8-12 hours at 50-60 flashes per minute, and then automatically switches down to 20-30 flashes per minute for another 8 hour shift. Stainless steel clip for webbing, straps or a belt, bottom has bayonet fitting to accept accessories such as magnets, ¼”-20 threaded adaptor or our Wind Proof Base for helicopter landings. Strobe is waterproof and can be seen for 3-5 miles depending on atmospheric conditions. Clear lens is approved by USCG, other lens colors are Red, Blue, Green, Amber and Slime Yellow-Green. Requires 1 “D” cell alkaline battery that must be replaced every year.
WHAT THE EXPERTS AT CLOUD 9 HAVE TO SAY-
You know the rules, we need to all be flying with a strobe visible for 3 miles if you fly a half hour before or a half hour after official sunset. This is an FAA regulation that we all need to follow. At our home site in Utah 2 seasons ago we had a close call with a Medical Helicopter and it caused a big stir. The pilot did NOT have a strobe on and if they had, the Helicopter would have seen them, no issue.
Cloud 9 Paragliding searched for the best possible low cost option and this is is perfect. Tie a 2 or 3 foot string onto the strobe and place it in your harness side pocket, if you fly early or late, just switch it on and let it hang. Would also come in handy if you happen to crash or land out! Simple and affordable.

Not what you had hoped for: Hmmm, this too can happen. If you receive anything from Cloud 9 Toys that is not a “special order” item such as high end racing harnesses or a new wing with custom colors you picked out, you can always send it back for a refund or exchange to something this is right for you. We only ask that you cover shipping, we never charge a restock fee.
